Strong Hyperbolicity
We propose the metric notion of strong hyperbolicity as a way of obtaining hyperbolicity with sharp additional properties. Specifically, strongly hyperbolic spaces are Gromov hyperbolic spaces that are metrically well-behaved at infinity, and, under weak geodesic assumptions, they are strongly bolic as well. We show that CAT(−1) spaces are strongly hyperbolic. On the way, we determine the best ...
متن کاملA Pure First Order Representation for Undamped Second Order Descriptor Systems
The aim of this paper is to analyze the undamped second order descriptor systems to show the possibility of transform an undamped second order descriptor system to a pure first order descriptor system ,on different ways, while stating some of its benefits. Meanwhile we will introduce pure first order systems and undamped second order systems and indicate that under some assumptions every undamp...
متن کاملStrong conceptual completeness for first-order logic
By a strong conceptual completeness (XC) statement for a logical doctrine we mean an assertion that says that any theory of the doctrine can be recovered from an appropriate structure formed by the models of the theory. The expression ‘logical doctrine’ is used here as in [9] to mean a specific selection of logical operations giving rise to a notion of theory, in the form of a structured catego...
متن کاملA Combination Theorem for Strong Relative Hyperbolicity
We prove a combination theorem for trees of (strongly) relatively hyperbolic spaces and finite graphs of (strongly) relatively hyperbolic groups. This gives a geometric extension of Bestvina and Feighn’s Combination Theorem for hyperbolic groups and answers a question of Swarup. We also prove a converse to the main Combination Theorem. متن کاملFuzzy Relational Matrix-Based Stability Analysis for First-Order Fuzzy Relational Dynamic Systems
In this paper, two sets of sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the existence and stability of a unique equilibrium point of unforced first-order fuzzy relational dynamical systems by using two different approaches which are both based on the fuzzy relational matrix of the model. In the first approach, the equilibrium point of the system is one of the centers of the related membership fu...
